Facial Hair Removal

Facial hair removal is a process. Unwanted facial hair is an issue that many women and some men come across at some point in their lives. There are many ways to get rid of this hair, but first the subject of where the hair comes from in the first place should be addressed. Hirsutism is a condition that affects between five to fifteen percent of women that causes the growth of coarse hair in a more masculine type pattern than normal for a woman. The main cause of this syndrome is actually another ailment, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. This disorder is a hormonal disorder which explains the excessive hair growth. Even without this syndrome hormones can play a huge role in hair growth. The hormone testosterone is usually the cause of facial hair growth in both men and women, though men typically carry about ten times more of this hormone than women. Pregnancy, which causes a surge of hormones, can cause temporary hair growth on certain women. Genetics also play a large role on whether or not a woman or man will bear facial hair. These are all causes of hair growth and though some people embrace the hair many people want to remove it.

Some Ways To Remove Unwanted Facial Hair

There are many ways to remove unwanted facial hair. First, there is probably the simplest solution, which is shaving. All one needs to carry out this process is a razor and some shaving cream or soap. Though this is probably the easiest solution, it is likely the one that will last the least amount of time. One could also try tweezing which is simply the removal of the hair with a pair of tweezers. This option, however, does take time and a good eye. There are also creams, such as Nair (but remember to only use the one designated especially for faces), that will remove hair and allow it to stay gone for a longer period of time than shaving alone. Waxing is also a common solution to remove unwanted facial hair. It is a bit painful but bearable and has to be repeated about every one to three weeks, depending on an individual's hair growth. If one is looking for a permanent solution to their unwanted hair growth, they might choose electrolysis or laser hair removal. Precisely controlled pulses of energy reach the hair follicle and destroy the hair at the root. Though one may have to have a few sessions, this option is usually permanent. There are many options for facial hair removal and one just has to find the one that is right for them.
